Deer & Boy – Keep A Low Profile Trophy Guide

Deer & Boy is a beautiful and moving cinematic platformer about a boy and a deer and the bond they form; a story told with no dialogue. With light stealth and puzzle gameplay, Deer & Boy is a short game that isn’t too challenging, but it does have several non-story-related trophies/achievements to unlock. So here is our Keep A Low Profile trophy/achievement guide for Deer & Boy.

Check out our Deer & Boy Review to get our full thoughts on the game.

Keep A Low Profile Trophy Guide

The Keep A Low Profile trophy/achievement is unlocked by finishing the boar sequence without being caught once. You reach the boar sequence in Chapter 11, after navigating the dark matter in the forest for a bit. The key is to move when the boar is not looking in your direction, indicated by the purple light and low synth growl they make.

Once you’ve crossed onto the outdoor porch of the small building, look for a ledge below you to drop into the water and walk behind the reeds to stay hidden.

Cross between the jetties as soon as the boar looks away; you move more slowly in water, so you need all the time you can get.

At the last jetty, you’ll reach a boat with a white rope along its side. Interact with it to hold and drag it through the water with you, blocking you from the boar’s vision. (The boar also doesn’t respond to the boat moving, so feel free to walk across without stopping.

From behind another beached boat, move across the gap when the boar isn’t looking to fall into a cave. Now you won’t have to worry about the boar for a while, but there is dark matter to deal with.

Put the Deer down on dry land and wade through the dark matter to the ledge nearby. Climb up to the top and interact with the vines to loosen the rock in the ceiling. Drop down into the dark matter and immediately wade to the right to reach the other side. Climb up the vines and sidle across to reach the other vines and free the rock.

Return to collect the Deer, then use the ledge and rock to cross the dark matter, heading right to find some vines to climb out of the cave.

You’ll be under a building, and the boar has returned. Head to the right and interact with the planks to pull them down, clearing the way and attracting the boar. Wait for them to turn and walk away before leaving your hiding place.

Put the Deer down again somewhere safe, and approach the second building, jumping up the ledge above the planks.

DO NOT PULL DOWN THE PLANKS. THIS WILL ATTRACT THE BOAR.

Drop through the hole in the floor and pull down the planks from inside. The boar will walk on after a moment, leaving you clear to pick up the Deer.

The boar doesn’t turn to face you at the last step, so walk across to the tall rock and watch the cutscene play.

Afterwards, continue to the right, and the Keep A Low Profile trophy/achievement will pop when the Boy finds the bike.
