The retro soulslike, Memoirium, has had it’s release date confirmed for this Summer. Head into levels of subconsciousness to escape.
What’s reality, and what’s a dream? What are you…or rather, who are you? I know it’s Wednesday, but it might still be a little early in the week for existential crises. Memoirium has you questioning everything. Trapped in a realm of dreams, you must defy the ruler of the realm to escape.
Developers GoldenGratus and publisher Outersloth have confirmed Memoirium will release on 13 August 2026. To celebrate, they have released a brand new release date trailer:
…In Their Dreams (Groundskeeper Willie as Freddy Kreuger Voice)
In Memoirium, you play as a Dreamer, traversing a variety of amalgamated dreams, from 21st-century classrooms, castles made of wax, through to coral reefs. All of which come through a very retro, PS1 era look. There are dungeons, hiding powerful items, as well as weapons, armor and spells, known as Lullabies, to find.
It wouldn’t be a soulslike without some tough enemies, and you’ll be facing ice-wileding warriors, mischievous librarians (*shivers in Darks Souls 3) and more. Weapon wise, you’ll have melee and ranged weapons alongisde your magic.
And, for some respite, Memoirium, brings something new to the soulslike space (that I know of anyhow), a spot of decorating. You’ll have control of a room that is under your control, allowing you to decorate it with mementos discovered throughout the game.

Souls fans! Is this one for you? Do you like the idea of exploring the subsconscious in a realm of dream? Will you be keeping an eye on Memoirium?
In other, news, have you see The Wilds of Dacrima? It’s release date has also just been confirmed.
