Kiln – ‘Scuse Me, Can I Borrow This? Achievement Guide

Double Fine’s latest game has recently released, Kiln. It’s a bit different from a typical Double Fine game as it’s a multiplayer title, but it sure is creative! With this guide we will help you unlock the “’Scuse Me, Can I Borrow This?” achievement.

‘Scuse Me, Can I Borrow This? is unlocked by having 1 of each Archetype of pot in your collection that is created by another player. Now unfortunately, unlike most of the other achievements in Kiln, this one doesn’t track.

When you are in the Wedge, which is the games main hub, you will be in there with a lobby of players. If you look to the right of Celadon, the main NPC in the area, there will be some pedestals there. You should see some pots on top of these pedestals and these are all made by the players in the lobby. It will also say the type and size of pot that it is.

All you need to do is go over to those pots and hop in one with your spirit. Once in one you can press the RS in and it will save that pot to your collection. You will want to keep track on your own what you have already collected from this area since there is no way to track.

Types Of Pots

There are 8 different Archetypes of pots and 3 sizes for each. This means you will need to collect 24 total pots from other players. Those are:

  • Bowl (S, M, L)
  • Plate (S, M, L)
  • Bottle (S, M, L)
  • Vase (S, M, L)
  • Jug (S, M, L)
  • Cup (S, M, L)
  • Chalice (S, M, L)
  • Vessel (S, M, L)

Once you have collected all the pots you think you need in this lobby you can either start and complete a match. When you return to the Wedge again you will be with a new group of players and their pots will be on the pedestals again. Alternatively you can just return to the main title screen and then reload into the Wedge and get a new lobby that way.

However you go about it, once you have all 24 it should unlock. Unfortunately some types of pots aren’t that popular so you may be sitting around waiting awhile for a small plate for example.

This is one of the more difficult achievements in Kiln since it’s dependent on others, but you should eventually get it. We hope this guide has helped you on your journey to 1000GS or the platinum in Kiln. For more Kiln guides head below to find what you need.
