Tides Of Tomorrow – Duck Hunter Achievement Guide

Tides of Tomorrow is now here from developer DigixArt. The game has you chasing players from the past as you navigate the world and unravel the story. Tides of Tomorrow also has some collectibles for you to grab, ducks! This guide will help you find all the ducks within Tides of Tomorrow and unlock the Duck Hunter achievement.

The ducks are scattered about the world and lucky for us, the tracking works for this. Additionally, if you hit pause at any time you can see how many ducks are the area you are currently in making this at least manageable to track on our own.

There are 12 ducks in total that you need to collect. Many of them you may need scrap to get access to, depending on the actions of the Tidewalker you are following. Try to always have 25 scrap on hand at all times if going for this achievement.

Also there is no chapter select in Tides of Tomorrow. If you miss a collectible then you will have to replay the entire game back to that point. Thankfully they do track across all your playthroughs at least so you can just focus on the ones you miss.

Of course with a guide that shouldn’t be an issue, except for the last one which is a pain in the ass and relies on what the Tidewalker you are following did. With all that said lets get into the guide.

One last note. The order you do the levels in is up to you. So you may head to the Citadel first instead of Wrecklandia for example. If you do this just nothing will change for the collectible, this just may be slightly out of order for you.

Scrap Harbour

Once you meet Eyla she will ask you to follow her. step down to the lower level and almost immediately to your left you will see a ladder. Climb it and then jump across the gap here to the other side. On a random small table up here overlooking the crowd will be a box. Open it and inside you will find the duck for this area.

Pleasureland

Proceed through the level until you go to the top of the ferris wheel and zipline down. Pretty much as soon as you land you will notice a broken ladder directly across from the “Bar” building that you cant get into.

You will need 25 scrap to repair it (unless you followed someone like myself who has already unlocked it for you). If you don’t have 25 scrap then there is a decent amount laying around this section of the game to grab.

Once you have enough to repair the ladder do so and climb up. At the top will be a box that you can open with the duck inside.

Stronghold

Progress through the level until you need to head down to the Parlour. Enter the area the signs are pointing and head down the stairs. At the bottom of the first flight of stairs you will see a door and you can actually see the box containing the collectible inside. Unfortunately you can’t open it just yet.

Head down the next flight of stairs and use your Tidewalker vision to hopefully see whomever you are following put a key into the little vent in the wall here. This key will unlock the door with the collectible, so head back upstairs and unlock it and grab your collectible.

I will say that by the looks of things this is dependent on the previous Tidewalker hiding the key. In my multiple playthroughs of testing this someone has placed a key there every time. In theory if they don’t you cannot get to this room. It’s also possible you are the one hiding the key. If that is the case I’m not too sure where it is since I haven’t experienced that.

Kelpie’s Playground

Play through the mission as normal until you get to the second section where you get off your boat.

You will be required to do a bit of walking and climbing up some shopping containers. Eventually you will come to a split where you can go left or right. Going right will continue the mission as Eyla will come up to chat.

Go left and climb these blue containers first

Before going right though take the left path and do some more climbing. You will see a large ladder to climb so head up. Follow this path around, climbing the roof and containers.

You will come to an open container that you can walk into where you will see the box that contains the duck. Open it up and take it.

Wrecklandia

You will be tasked with climbing up above the area in order to break the machines. You will climb up and have to ride the containers that are moving across the conveyor belts and then jump across to a catwalk.

From here you are going to want to walk straight across this catwalk (the objective wants you to jump back to the right to another catwalk).

There is a large blue container here which if you head behind you will find a ladder. It may be broken depending on who you are following. If it is pay the 25 scrap and head up.

Follow this new area now, avoiding detection from the guards. When you get to the end you will see the box sitting there with the duck inside.

Citadel

This duck actually isn’t on the main area, but out on a piece of land you can only access with your boat. There is a small broken down windmill in the middle of the ocean where you can land your boat. If you are at the dock to the citadel go to the right and follow this waterway. Make a left into a little cove when you can and you will see it.

Now just dock your boat there and there will be a ladder that you will need to repair with 25 scrap. At the top will be the duck in the box.

You may also not be able to actually dock your boat here until you leave this mission but I’m not 100% sure on that. So if you go at first and can’t get to it, finish this mission first.

Sanctuary

Start heading up the hill to make your way to find Nahe and meet with Voot. At the top of some stairs you will have to turn right to continue upwards. However instead of doing that leap through the opening here that is on the left hand side of the path.

Once inside make an immediate right and head down the stairs. At the bottom on the left wall will be a stack of books that you can move, revealing a button. Press it and this will open up the wall revealing a hidden room. Inside there will be an item to your left that you can pick up. Pick it up and place it on the altar in the middle of the room which will give you the duck.

Ocean Blessing

At the very beginning of the level while in your boat you will approach a large gate. You likely won’t be allowed through it anyway but you can play out the dialogue. From here go all the way to the left side of the area in your boat. Eventually you will see a blockade you can shoot with your boats cannon to your left. For reference it is pretty much directly behind the blockade for where you will want to go to get into the mission area.

Blow up this red gate

In behind this will be an area you can dock that will have the duck. You can come here after you complete the area as well, it’s up to you.

Pleasureland (Ocean Event)

This is technically a second duck at Pleasureland, however it is separate. Keep an eye out for ocean events inbetween missions. Eventually one will pop up at Pleasureland for you to compete in a race. Select it and head through the level and complete the race.

At the end of the race you will be in the post race area. To your right will be a vendor with some prizes, one of which is a duck. Depending on how you do in the race this may or may not cost you scrap. But speak to the vendor and when they mention the duck, make sure you select it so that you can take it and add to your collection.

Main Outpost (Second Time)

This is the second time you will visit the outpost now. Head to the back area up to the left of where the Canteen is. There will be a ladder on a yellow shipping container. Climb it to find another ladder. Climb that to climb another ladder and….well you get the idea here.

Head up to the Canteen and get your climbing shoes on. Head to the yellow crates

A few of these ladders may be broken if the person you are following came up here as well, so be prepared to spend a lot of scrap if that is the case which sucks. After you climb what feels like 10 ladders and go across a few catwalks you will come to a spot high above the area where you will find the box containing the duck.

Marketland

This duck is only here when going for the mission to try and get a truce between Nyx and Obin.

Proceed through the level until you meet up with Kass and Obin’s lieutenant. After the conversation they will let you through. Proceed up the stairs and jump the gap. Once you do turn to your left drop down once and then take the ladder down.

Jump the gap and head left

Now walk a few steps forward and to your right you will see a door to open which you will want to do and head through.

This door will be closed but open and head through

Follow this corridor to the end and to your left you will see a couple boxes which you can use to climb up to a higher area.

Once on this little roof there will be a ladder to your right. You will likely have to repair this for 25 scrap. Do so and climb up. Immediately upon climbing the ladder you will see the box containing the duck on the left.

Maelstrom

And now for the final, and most annoying duck to obtain.

You will proceed through the mission and use stealth to get through the first section before dropping down onto some giant steps. At the bottom of the steps you will see the container you use to share things.

Look to your immediate left to find a door with 2 hand locks on it. Now for the annoying part.

If you look above the door it will say 0/2 or 1/2 Required Inputs. If it says 1/2 then congrats, that means whoever you followed interacted with the door. Use your visions to see which button they pressed and press the opposite. Doing so will open the door and let you in to collect the final duck.

If however, your door shows 0/2 that means whoever you are following did not interact with this door and you are locked out. You will be the first input, meaning anyone following you will be able to get in, but you can’t. How frustrating.

With no type of chapter select or anything like that, you will need to replay the entire game up to this point and hope whoever you follow the next time interacted with this door.

Hopefully you were able to earn this achievement the first time around with the help of our guide. For more Tides of Tomorrow guides head below to find what you need.
