At The Game Awards 2025 last month, two brand new Tomb Raider projects were announced. Alongside a remake of the original Tomb Raider titled Legacy of Atlantis which will launch this year, 2027 will see a brand new title, Catalyst.
In the teaser trailer for Catalyst, we are introduced to a new look Lara Croft played by Alix Wilton Regan. Regan is known in the videogame VO space for her work in Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Mass Effect 3 to name but a few credits.
Now, following a tweet by Resident Evil 5’s Sheva Alomar actress, Eva La Dare we know that she will be joining Regan as an unnamed antagonist in Catalyst. A fan of the series with a clearly good memory of La Dare’s voice, reached out to her via X (Twitter) asking if she’d be in Catalyst, with her response confirming so:
Damn @Pvimt0!? Your ears are GOOD! Can’t say more yet, but I’m so excited to be part of this legendary franchise.? https://t.co/59W7L650ZE

La Dare had also been in the gaming news space recently, teasing that some new Resident Evil 5 news may be around the corner with the series 30th anniversary this year. A remaster of RE5, perhaps?
Catalyst sees the first new entry in the long-running Tomb Raider franchise since 2018’s Tomb Raider Shadows, which concluded the successful, and great, reimagining trilogy of Lara Croft. Since then the series has been taken back to its routes with well-received remasters of the two original trilogies, I-III and IV-VI. Whilst I’d love to see a remaster of 2006’s Tomb Raider Legend, I’m very excited to see a full remake of the original this year, with Catalyst in 2027. Onward and upwards, Miss Croft.
