This guide is for Mission 3: Sonderzüge Sabotage, of Sniper Elite: Resistance, the newest entry into the famous sniping franchise. Taking place at the same time as the events of Sniper Elite 5, you play the role of Captain Harry Hawker, a British sniper who’s working with the French resistance to stop the latest Nazi Wunderwaffe.
Throughout the games campaign, you’ll collect a range of collectibles to upgrade your weapons. There’s also lore, intel, and extra story beats to find in the game. Not to mention the new ‘propaganda missions’ which present you with extra missions.
Collectible types
For completionists and achievement / trophy hunters, there’s plenty to go at, with 135 collectibles spread across eight of the nine missions in the game. These include:
- Personal letters – open envelopes with letters that are scattered throughout the levels, sometimes these are mission related. You’ll unlock the “Pen Pal” achievement for finding 35 of these.
- Classified documents – usually blue documents with the Eagle emblem emblazoned on it, sometimes these are mission related. You’ll unlock the “Top Secret” achievement for finding 35 of these.
- Hidden items – different collectibles that can be mission related (propaganda posters count as a hidden item). You’ll unlock the “Treasure Hunter” achievement for finding 22 of these.
- Dead-eye targets – these are stone eagle statues that sit in different places across the levels, shoot them down. You’ll unlock the “Spread Your Wings” achievement for destroying 21 of these.
- Workbenches – finding them gives you new customisation options for your weapons. Use them to tinker and upgrade your loadout. You’ll unlock the “Innovator” achievement for finding 22 of these.
- Propaganda posters – find these to unlock a new propaganda mission to tackle from the main menu.
- Kill List Targets (not a collectible but there are further unlocks to be had) – these are high value targets on the map. Killing them with a specific method or weapon will grant you a new unlock. You’ll need the extra weapons to unlock the “Master at Arms” achievement for becoming the master of each weapon.

Personal Letters
“Be Safe My Dear” (1 / 5)
In the Delicatessan safe. It’s the building next to the ‘second safehouse’ (the blue side mission). The location is across the water from where you start. The key can be found in the safehouse location; go out the back and climb the drain pipe. Look for the white markings on the wall.

“We Are Everywhere” (2 / 5)
In the hotel. Head to the third floor using the stairs to the left as you enter from the riverside. As you reach the top of the stairs, hang right and through the first doors you see into a room with a balcony. Climb over the balcony and shimmy to a room on the right. It’s about four windows away. The letter is on a desk in that room.

“Cross of Lorraine” (3 / 5)
In the first safehouse location (side mission). It’s the big warehouse, near the start of the mission before you cross the water (bridge side). It’s on the second floor, back room, on a desk. You have to collect this to complete the side mission.

“Missing Her Birthday” (4 / 5)
In the train station, at the back right of the map. It’s on the second floor on a bench.

“The Scars of War” (5 / 5)
In the garden / grounds of the hotel. It’s on a raised square section at the far end of the garden, furthest away from the the hotel.

Classified Documents
“Gestapo Briefing” (1 / 5)
In the penthouse of the hotel, it’s part of the main objective.

“Hotel Refurbishment” (2 / 5)
In the hotel foyer (ground floor). It’s behind the counter, between two tills.

“Hotel Storage” (3 / 5)
In the large stone structure at the back of the map. It overlooks the train station and has a sniper in it. Climb up and find a classfied document on a crate.

“Rail Network Control” (4 / 5)
Cross the river (if from the start of the mission). The collectible is on the lower part of the docks, where the “Kill List” target partrol. It can be found in a watchtower.

“Cargo Details” (5 /5)
In the office next to where the “Missing Her Birthday” personal letter can be found. It’s part of the main objective.

Hidden Items
“Resistance Flag” (1 / 3)
In the first safehouse as part of the blue side mission. It’s in a room on your left as your enter up the main stairs at the back of the building. It’s on some crates.

“Gestapo ID Badge” (2 / 3)
On the bridge to the left. About halfway up on some crates.

Propaganda Poster – “La Resistance” (3 / 3)
Near the beginning, it’s on the outside wall of the warehouse building that is the first safehouse as part of the side mission. Look for “Le Sniper”.

Dead-Eye Targets
Stone Eagle (1 / 3)
From the start, turn around to face the big grand house behind you. The eagle is near the top of the roof in the centre.

Stone Eagle (2 / 3)
At the very back of the map, the eagle is on top of a domed roof.

Stone Eagle (3 /3)
On top of the train station building entrance.

Workbenches
You must interact with the workbenches for them to count as collected.
Workbench (1 / 3)
Near the beginning of the level. Follow the road to the right and round the corner, to the left. You should see an alley to your left after turning and before the road curves to the left, along the river. Go down the alley until you find a big wooden padlocked door on your left.
Workbench (2 / 3)
Across the river from the start, near the “Kill List” target patrol, in a long warehouse building in the dock area.
Workbench (3 /3)
At the train station, at the back of the level. There’s a house to the right of the entrance, close to the objective where you satchel charge the train. Upstairs, the workbench is behind a locked gate.
The white cogs are where they are on the map below.
