“Tanks for Nothing” is another level-specific challenge in Sniper Elite: Resistance, the newest entry into the famous sniping franchise. Taking place at the same time as the events of Sniper Elite 5, you play the role of Captain Harry Hawker, a British sniper who’s working with the French resistance to stop the latest Nazi Wunderwaffe.
Of course, the game’s all about sniping, skilled shots and causing the most damage and pain to some Nazi scum. In this guide, we’re looking at demolishing one of the Fritz’s armoured tanks to snag ourselves a sweet achievement and a fair bit of XP too.
“Tanks for Nothing” tasks you with destroying the tank that patrols the area in Mission 8 – End of the Line. This is the final main mission ahead of taking on the antagonist, Kruger.

Now, I’m not going to say that this was my best clip, for sure it was a bit clumsy, but it got the job done. I snuck up to the back of the tank and placed a satchel charge on its back panel which exposes it’s inner-workings. A well-placed armour piercing round will take out that mechanical death machine in no time.
But that’s not the only way of taking on the tank, there’s plenty of firepower laying around in the surrounding bunkers and houses on the right side of the map, where tank patrols. There’s anti-tank (AT) rifles a as well as Panzerfausts (rocket launchers). So pick your most appropriate poison.
