Unknown 9: Awakening is one of the many games launching this October, and ahead of 18 October release, Bandai Namco have shared a trailer highlighting some of the graphical features coming to the third-person action adventure game.
Features include:
- Ray-traced shadows
- AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution
- Stable FPS and low latency on all resolutions
- Advanced graphic settings
If you’re unfamiliar with Unknown 9: Awakening, it was revealed earlier this year in March, and focuses on the story of Haroona, a Quaestor (a group of people responsible for uncovering lost wisdom) who was born with the ability to travel into the “Fold”: a mysterious parallel dimension that overlaps with our own. Throughout the game you will learn to control your abilities and explore the Fold, uncovering previously lost knowledge.
Of course, there are some ne’er-do-wells lurking around, The Ascendants, who want the power of the Fold all to themselves, and begin to target Haroona. To defeat them, you can employ combat and stealth techniques that use physical and Umbric (your special powers) abilities, which includes the ability to take control of enemies and set up a chain of attacks using your environment and your unaware enemies.

Unknown 9: Awakening is part of a larger Unknown 9 Universe that tells standalone stories across a multitude of platforms, all connected by the parallel universe, The Fold.

I’m really looking forward to exploring this universe when the game releases on 18 October for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
