The latest instalment of the MechWarrior franchise will be dropping into PC Game Pass as well as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate when it launches developer Piranha Games announced today.
MechWarrior 5: Clans, which is out next week, October 17th, will now be a day one Game Pass release for those with an Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription. Clans is the follow up to MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries which was met with a rather mixed reception. Despite that reception it went on to sell over 2 million copies.
Clans will mark the third game in the series that will have been developed by Piranha Games, with the aforementioned Mercenaries as well as their most known title, MechWarriors Online being the other 2.
This news means that we now know of 2 games coming to Game Pass in the back half of October, with Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 set to launch for the first time ever on Game Pass on the 25th.
Clans is also a bit of a return to the series roots as it “brings a story rich, linear-based single-player/co-op narrative-driven action game to fans for the first time in decades – a complete departure from previous MechWarrior entries,” Piranha Games said.
