Last year, Bethesda Softworks released its first new IP in 25 years with Starfield, and how we are mere days away from the games first expansion, Shattered Space dropping into the hands of players. Today, Bethesda announced the global release times as well as a couple recommendations.

Shattered Space will be releasing in September 30th and no one will need to move to New Zealand to access it early. The game will be launching simultaneously in all regions at once. So if you are in Toronto for example it will be live at 11am and 4pm if you live in London on September 30th. If you are in Sydney Australia you will have to wait until 1am on October 1st.
As well as the times we learned a bit of the requirements, both recommended and mandatory, in order to access the expansion. Players must complete the first mission of the base game, One Small Step, in order to open up the expansion area. Having said that Bethesda has recommended you be at least level 35 to get the "best experience".

And incase you missed it, or you just are so hyped and want to see it again, you can watch the most recent deep dive Bethesda released earlier this month here.
No Review Copies Ahead Of Release?
It's also been reported by IGN's review Editor Dan Stapleton that review codes for Shattered Space were not given out to press at all. Other outlets have reported they have not received one (we have not either) so there would appear to be some truth behind this.
While this might seem like a red flag to many, Bethesda has been notorious for holding back press review codes for games like Dishonored 2 (1 day before release) and Doom and those turned out just fine. For whatever reason Bethesda has decided review codes aren't necessary for the expansion.
With opinions on Starfield being all over the spectrum, it really felt like an either love it or hate it game, it will be interesting to see how things play out next week for Shattered Space.
