Starfield’s first big expansion, Shattered Space, is only a couple of weeks away, and Bethesda have just released a sizeable look at what’s coming to the RPG.

The deep-dive gives an in-depth look at the DLC with some of the developers from Bethesda Softworks. They outline that the narrative of the DLC surrounds the many mysteries of House Va’ruun, one of the interstellar governments in the game.

There are tons of mysteries to uncover and knowledge to be found on Va’Ruun’Kai that will help players further understand the galaxies and lore of Starfield. While Starfield is known for its galaxy and world hopping Shattered Space will take place in a singular world. You will still be able to leave the world and explore the game as normal, but all Shattered Space content takes place on Va’Ruun’Kai.

This is Starfield’s first expansion and there seems to be a lot excitement around it. The DLC is included with the Digital Premium Editions of the game (including the upgrade version), or it can be bought separately. I need to get back to the main game, but what I’ve seen of the DLC is looking great!

Starfield: Shattered Space DLC releases on 30 September 2024 for PC and Xbox Series consoles. It should be noted that recently Starfield was one of the many games not included in the new Xbox Game Pass Standard Tier. While Shattered Space is paid DLC even for those with Game Pass Ultimate, if you have the Standard tier you will need to purchase the base game as well.
