In a flurry of late night news Octopath Traveller 2 has shadow dropped onto Xbox Game Pass as well as the first game Re-entering the service and the first game has also come to PlayStation

Octopath Traveller 2, which launched in early 2023 on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 had previously been absent from the Xbox platform until now. It was a bit of a curious decision at the time considering the first game was on Xbox and not PlayStation.

But with Square Enix announcing they were trying to have a more multi console approach it their games it makes sense that they would eventually bring the game to Xbox, though launching into Game Pass, with no build up no less is certainly interesting.

Also with the first game being finally launched on the PlayStation consoles it brings everything for the franchise full circle.
