The golden age of Telltale is well into the rear-view mirror now. However, their legacy of creating some of the finest narrative-based video games is hard to doubt. Perhaps the most cult of their titles, the award winning The Wolf Among Us is beloved by fans of the game and those of the original DC comic source material.
Alongside the re-reveal of The Wolf Among Us 2, a remaster to the original was announced over the summer. The Remaster was announced for XBOX One and Series, PlayStation 5, Switch and PC (Steam / GOG). An October 29, 2026 release was confirmed back in August, however the Switch version has now been indefinitely delayed.
In a post on X (Twitter), Telltale said the Switch version “needs a little more time and will launch later. Timing coming soon.” The comments of the post also confirmed that the GOG version is delayed: “The Wolf Among Us Remastered WILL be coming to GOG down the line, but not sim-ship at launch” The release date for other platforms is unaffected.
A sequel to the 2013 original has been in the works for years, with a turbulent development cycle that has endured a closure and revival of Telltale as a studio, countless delays and a complete reboot, The Wolf Among Us 2 is now scheduled to arrive next year.
