Friends. Fables fans. I never thought that we would see this day! When TellTale Games went under, I legitimately thought that we would never see the sequel to the original The Wolf Among Us. So, imagine my absolute shock when TellTale dropped this today at the 2026 Summer Games Fest.

Yes. That is correct. The Wolf Among Us 2 is real! And the big question still remains – will this be a direct sequel to the prior title? Regardless, we’ll be returning to the role of Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown. And it would not be a Fables storyline if there wasn’t a massive conspiracy eating away at the community of exiled Fables. A conspiracy that has, unfortunately, placed Bigby at its center.

From the shadows of the Mundy world, Bigby will need to find a way to clear his name and secure the safety of his fellow Fables. There will be old faces, new faces, and a veritable avalanche of choices that we’ll make our way through as we dig deeper into the plot around us. And as with any TellTale game, our actions will have consequences that will carry through in the long-term.

Now, I’m certain that you’re all asking yourselves “But do we have a release date?” Well, here’s the bad news. We got nothing at the moment. As per their Steam page, The Wolf Among Us 2 is currently sitting in the “Coming Soon” status. A sad day, but hopefully not one that we’ll be stuck on forever.

The original The Wolf Among Us launched in the far off (what feels like now) years of 2013 & 2014 as an episodic release. That puts us at…roughly 12-13 years since the original title. But never fear, since it has been a while – we also got a glimpse of an upcoming remaster of the original series. So if, like me, you need a refresher on the story, there’s hope!
