Old School RPG Sequel Drova II: Torn Lands Announced, Releasing In 2027

Developer Just2D and Publisher Deck13 Spotlight have announced Drova II: Torn Lands, the sequel to the 2024 indie smash hit Drova: Forsaken Kin, with a planned release in 2027 across PC and consoles.

Drova II: Torn Lands is a standalone sequel set in the same world as its predecessor after the Divinities have been freed and the Mist has withdrawn to expose a new world. If that wasn’t enough to entice you, Magic has returned to the world of Drova, alongside a giant ravine that splits this unexplored region in two.

Torn Lands is bringing more of the immersive, Gothic-inspired gameplay of the first game, where every choice you make, from how you equip and improve your character to the factions you join and how you complete quests, all feel impactful, with potential world and/or story-changing consequences. Two new factions, both founded upon their chosen Divinity, have appeared from the Mists, leading to rising tensions as the two clash: who will you side with?

Drova II: Torn Lands key features:

A larger open world that is even more detailed, more curated, and filled with spots and secrets to discover.
An improved and expanded combat system with impactful weapon and gear choices. Choose your own playstyle and abilities to face your foes. Due to the improvements, completely new playstyles are now possible.
Join one of two factions that offer new, unique combat styles. And each offers its own secrets…
There are many ways to change the outcome of quests and the overall story. It’s your journey. Your decisions will shape the Torn Lands.
Every NPC you meet has its own daily routine, its own history and stories to tell, a believable place within the world.

Just2D have been working behind the scenes on Drova II for some time, intent on making a worthy successor to their breakout maiden release, while also sticking to their philosophy of immersive gameplay with no hand-holding like quest markers. We were big fans of Drova: Forsaken Kin, and highly recommend checking it out if you’re after some classic RPG gameplay in a dark, immersive fantasy world.
