Fans who are looking forward to the release of Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered this October will soon have the chance to try the game out early, with publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announcing that a demo for the game will be launching across PS5, XBOX Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 this week on Thursday, 24th Sept.
We also got confirmation that online 2-player will be added to the game with a post-launch update, slated for January 2027. The game can be played solo or in split-screen co-op at launch.

The trailer above gives a nice breakdown of the new additions, starting with a host of actions that weren’t in the original, including calling your horse, charged attacks, evading, and counterattacking. Probably the biggest change comes in the form of the Weapon Fusion system, which lets players transfer certain stats and attributes from weapons they collect to forge their own custom weapon.
Three new Legend Side Stories, one for each of the game’s main factions of Wei, Wu, and Shu, are also being added to DW3: Complete Edition Remastered, giving players another perspective on some of the series most iconic battles.
The game is also getting an Edit Opening function, so players can create their own opening sequences for their favourite officers, and comprehensive options to adjust all manner of the game’s settings and systems.
Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered launches on October 1st across PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
