Zoopunk Gameplay Trailer

First revealed at an Xbox Partner Preview event last year, Zoopunk had a deeper gameplay trailer show off today. In a big departure from the first game F.I.S.T. : Forged in shadow torch, Zoopunk will be shedding the metroidvania gameplay in favor of a squad based 3D hack-n-slash.

The protagonist from the first game Rayton the rabbit returns and uses a pair of electric batons in place of his mechanical fist. He’s joined by Braton, a rhino who fights with a giant chainsaw and Trixie, a chipmunk who fights with a mix of acrobatics and gunplay.

It looks as if you’ll be able to switch between the three protagonists and do things such as using Braton to launch Trixie like a cannonball. There’s also a 4th character who’s yet to be named. She appears to be a fox or a cat of some kind who fights with a long katana. It’s unknown whether she’ll be playable or not at this time.

F.I.S.T was a fun metroidvania when it launched back in 2021 and managed to amass a solid fanbase. While Zoopunk will be a completely different game, it’s looking to be a fun time from the trailers so far and frankly, I’m just happy to see more non soulslike action games coming around more often. No official date for Zoopunk just yet but a launch sometime in 2027 is planned.

Zoopunk is planned to launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series platforms.

Zoopunk is coming to consoles and PC.

DeMandre "LetalisVenator" Pressley

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
