If you’ve ever played Dungeons and Dragons and had a spellcaster in your party, there’s a chance you’ve heard the name, Tasha. Perhaps you know her spell, Tasha’s Hideous Laughter? Or perhaps you prefer Tasha’s Mind Whip? Either way, when Wizards of the Coast releases a book titled “Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything” you know the name holds power. We’ll get to see how deep some of that goes in upcoming Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons when our main character Kaatri makes a deal with Tasha to harness some of this power.
In the Dungeons & Dragons universe, you always make a pact as a Warlock. What will this pact entail for Kaatri and will the price that Tasha asks be too much? Our first true look arrived today at gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. Viewers were able to see the pact come to be and gameplay of this exciting new game from Invoke Studios.
In the game trailer we were able to see how Kaatri navigates the world around her. She seems very adept at harnessing some of this power to manipulate the world around her. We also see her teleport around and perhaps, is that an eldritch blast emanating from her right hand? Did I see her misty step her way around her foes?

What makes our main character interesting is that she’s already a pretty good fighter prior to her pact with Tasha. We see her wielding both might and magic as she takes down her foes and makes the world around her bend to her will. She truly learned quick from Tasha. We also know now Maggie Roberson lends her voice to Tasha while Kaatri is voiced by Tricia Helfer so you can expect the acting to be delightful in the best of ways. This definitely won’t be an experience quite like Baldur’s Gate 3 as this leans much more into action adventure. For those who want something perhaps more fast paced, this is one to watch.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons is scheduled to release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic.
