Nintendo have announced that a new Direct will be taking place tomorrow, August 4, 2026 to share all new details and information about the upcoming Fire Emblem.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the first Fire Emblem title to release exclusively on to Nintendo Switch 2, and the first since 2023’s Engage which was on the original Switch. Nintendo haven’t shared what we can expect to see at the show, but have confirmed it will be a 20-minute showing, so there will likely be lots to learn about the highly anticipated upcoming RPG.
It’s customary that Nintendo offer a standalone Direct specific for their firstparty titles a short time before its release. Such has happened many times, most recently with Splatoon Raiders.

The Direct will air at 7am Pacific, 10am Eastern, 3pm UK (BST) .

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026. The game will release physically and digitally, with a $119.99 Collector’s Edition available for physical collectors.
If you’re new to the Fire Emblem franchise and want to try one without having to pay full price, Nintendo Switch Online contains three Fire Emblem titles. The trio includes two from the Game Boy Advance including the 2003 original and The Sacred Stones, as well as GameCube entry, Path of Radiance.
