Games created by individuals is growing by the day it seems as new developers look to bring their visions to life. Tiny Purple Cat is the latest to set out on their journey as the studio and its sole developer Luna today have announced A Mind Apart.
A Mind Apart is a narrative driven puzzle adventure about a young girl who is lost in a fragmented storybook world. She must piece together her forgotten memories all while confronting her present.
She will solve puzzles as she helps the many creatures in this strange world while also helping herself. Every decision she makes will affect the story and her journey making every option feel significant.
It really does look to be a bit of a darker game in terms of its tone.
“The story reflects on how young people carry the things that happen to them,” said Luna, developer of A Mind Apart. “I want the world to feel warm and safe to wander, but with something heavier underneath. It’s about finding a way forward without pretending the past never happened.”
Indeed A Mind Apart is all about exploring emotionally heavy themes, including trauma and psychological distress, with care and without graphic violence or explicit content.
There are no details as of yet on a release window or anything like that, but the game is available to wishlist on Steam beginning today.
