With a release date of July 28, 2026 confirmed at the XBOX Games Showcase just a few weeks ago, it’s not long now until the third iteration of Halo: Combat Evolved’s legendary campaign arrives.

The 2001 legend which started as a launch game on the original XBOX, returned with a lick of paint with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary in November 2011. 15 years later – and 25 since the original – this ground-up Unreal Engine remake is shaping up to be visually very impressive, particularly on ultra settings.

Halo: Campaign Evolved PC System Requirements

Halo Studios have now confirmed the system requirements for Halo: Campaign Evolved on PC, with lower to high-end hardware supported.

Low (Minimum) – Running the game at 1080p, 60fps:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600; or Intel Core i7-10700K
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super; or AMD Radeon RX 6600; or Intel Arc A580
• RAM: 16GB
• VRAM: 8GB
• OS: Windows 10 22H2 64-bit; or Windows 11
• Storage: SSD with 100GB available space

Medium – Running the game at 1440p, 60fps:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X; or Intel Core i5-12600K
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070; or AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT
• RAM: 16GB
• VRAM: 8GB
• OS: Windows 10 22H2 64-bit; or Windows 11
• Storage: SSD with 100GB available space

High (Recommended) – Running the game at 4k, 60fps:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700; or Intel Core i7-12700K
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080Ti; or AMD Radeon RX 9070
• RAM: 32GB
• VRAM: 12GB
• OS: Windows 10 22H2 64-bit; or Windows 11

Ultra – Running the game at 4k, 60fps:

Of course, the game is launching on consoles too – including for the first time, PlayStation – where the game will undoubtedly run well. Halo has always been a well-optimised series on console and I’d expect that to continue with this campaign only remake.

Meanwhile, the Campaign Evolved Achievements for XBOX were recently confirmed. And yes, a LASO run for the 1,000 Gamerscore returns. Fortunately, you’ll be able to bring three friends for the ride as the game supports 4-player co-op for the very first time. Though on PlayStation, you will require an XBOX account for each player.
