Check Out the New Raven Extract Cinematic from Gears of War: E-Day

The Coalition have debuted a new cinematic from Gears of War: E-Day titled “Raven Extract” as Bravo squad attempt to extract.

It wasn’t too long ago that we were all gawking (well I was) at the wonderful goriness of the Gears of War: E-Day Direct during Summer Game Fest a couple of weeks ago. Keeping the hype train moving, developers, The Coalition have shared this new cinematic at the Unreal Fest Chicago.

You can check out the cinematic below:

*Quick note to say that I love the little touch of John DiMaggio (Marcus Fenix) adding the “Rated M for Mature” disclaimer at the start.

The cinematic shows Bravo Squad (Marcus, Dom and co.) attempting to extract from a Locust ridden location. We see Marcus and Dom running away from Juvie looking creatures (which is interesting as they didn’t appear until Gears 4 as part of Swarm ecology) chasing them down. They board a Raven, KR-80, to extract as a Corpser and Reavers emerge leading to some tense combat in the sky.

It’s here, we meet Specialist, Daan Riggs, who is manning the turret of the Raven. It all gets very tense as the Reaver, super aggressively, grasps hold of the Reaver, up close and personal like. We don’t see the conclusion, but it looks like trouble for the team, and Dann Riggs.

Gears of War: E-Day launches 6 October 2026 on PC and Xbox Series as a console exclusive. A multiplayer beta is expected in August.
