Grand Theft Auto V and Online refuse to die. Whilst the world waits with baited breath for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026, Grand Theft Auto V’s online component continues to release new content for players on a regular basis.
GTA Online is incredibly lucrative for Rockstar Games so it’s no surprise the studio want to keep players active until November, especially since its unclear what the multiplayer component of GTA VI even looks like, for now.
Arriving in July, The Kortz Center Heist will arrive for GTA Online players. Offering players the opportunity to steal “Priceless international works of art have adorned its hallways for years” and take them back to art galleries in their virtual mansions. The new heist arrives on XBOX One and Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC next month.

However, to enable console players to experience the Kortz Center heist in its most visually impressive form, Rockstar are offering a free upgrade to the XBOX Series and PlayStation 5 versions of the game to gamers who own GTA V digitally in the same console family. Currently sold as its own SKU, the current-gen version has always been a paid upgrade. Starting tomorrow (June 18, 2026), digital owners can play the enhanced version free of charge, which also offers the ability to migrate GTA Online profiles.
More on the free upgrade can be found on Rockstar Games Newswire.
Meanwhile, the tumbleweed once again blew past my office window whilst I wait for GTA VI Trailer 3. The November release date has been reiterated several times recently by Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two, whilst fears of Grand Theft Auto VI’s pricing have been eased by the studio.
