Japanese developer Serafini Productions are continuing at pace with their BrokenLore franchise, as only two weeks after BrokenLore: FOLLOW released on PC and console, they have confirmed the franchise’s next release date.
In time for spooky season, BrokenLore: DON’T LIE will release on to XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on September 10, 2026. The release date announcement coincides with the release of the full demo which has today gone live as part of Steam Next Fest.
BrokenLore: DON’T LIE Release Date Trailer
A release date trailer for BrokenLore: DON’T LIE has also been shared by publisher Wired Productions, who are known for working with indie developers to release acclaimed horror games including Karma: The Dark World, Martha is Dead and more:
It’s a very Japanese horror game, including an underground metro network location, as well as the trademark orange gates you would find at Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. Playing as Junko, “a hikikomori whose carefully controlled world begins to unravel as the past resurfaces in ways she can no longer ignore.”. Psychological horror DON’T LIE will explore “trauma, isolation, and a fractured reality where perception becomes increasingly unreliable.”
In our recent BrokenLore: FOLLOW review, we enjoyed the shorter title saying “FOLLOW is emotionally exhausting in the best possible way. The unrelenting psychological torment would likely lose its impact if it went on any longer.” We will be looking forward to more from the franchise when DON’T LIE releases in just a few months time.
