Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Announced at the XBOX Summer Showcase

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember was revealed during the XBOX Games Showcase, confirming that Team Ninja is developing a follow up to 2023’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer featuring large scale battles, supernatural enemies and an expanded take on the fast, timing based combat shown in the first game.

Team Ninja has confirmed an early 2027 release window. Beyond the title, release timing and the footage shown during the Showcase, no further details about gameplay systems, story direction or new mechanics have been outlined.

The trailer focused on demonic threats across a reimagined Three Kingdoms setting, along with the return of notable historical figures who fight alongside the player. The studio also highlighted that the original Wo Long reached more than five million players, setting expectations for a more ambitious follow up.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember has been confirmed for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
