Xbox has a lot of games in the pipeline. Blockbuster games like Gears E-Day and Fable take up a lot of the conversations online, but inXile’s Clockwork Revolution might be the most intriguing game in the eyes of many. Well today at the Xbox Games Showcase we got a new look at title and learned that it will be exclusive to Xbox consoles.
Clockwork Revolution is the first game from inXile under Xbox Game Studios. They were acquired by Microsoft in November 2018. They released Wastelands 3 in 2020, but that was technically with another publisher that they had previously signed with.
Since then the studio has been busy with Clockwork Revolution and it’s been a show stealer anytime we’ve seen it since it was first announced in 2023.Today was no different as it was one of the last games to be shown to close the show alongside Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 4.

Clockwork Revolution is an action RPG and a definite step up from inXile’s previous work. Players will use the Chronometer to time-travel back within the city of Avalon. There they will be able to manipulate the past and return to the present to see the effects of their decisions.
The 4 minute trailer showcased some of the main cast of characters we can expect to see. When a heist goes wrong for your gang you are thrown back into time thanks to a Lady Ironwood. It is here where you discover the device that can let you time travel and change the course of history.

While we didn’t get a proper release date today, we now have a 2027 release window for Clockwork Revolution as 2027 is set to be another big year for Xbox Game Studios.
