Check out the Dark Mass gameplay trailer below.
For those unfamiliar, Dark Mass puts players in the role of Alice, a deep-sea explorer investigating an ancient shipwreck. Beneath the wreckage, she and her brother Reed discover something strange: a sunken manor, impossibly preserved, lies seemingly untouched for centuries on the ocean floor. Exploration quickly turns to survival. Alice must navigate flooded halls, solve ritual puzzles, and evade Silas, a monstrous entity haunting the manor for centuries.
The game also leans hard into deep-sea isolation. Limited visibility, vertical movement through water, and near-constant silence feed into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, Alice stays in contact with Reed via a fully voiced walkie-talkie system throughout. Player decisions, furthermore, shape how the story ends.
Path Games, which developed Dark Mass, is the Spanish studio behind debut horror title Insomnis. Selecta Play handles the physical publishing side. The digital version, additionally, is available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The Standard Edition includes a physical copy of the game and an illustrated game manual. The Collector’s Edition, however, goes much further. This package adds a collector’s box, official art book, lenticular postcard, Alice’s turtle bracelet, the original soundtrack in digipack format, and an exclusive steelbook.
Pre-orders are now live at select retailers, including Video Games Plus and Loot Box Gaming. The Standard Edition is priced at $29.99 USD / $39.99 CAD, while the Collector’s Edition comes in at $79.99 USD / $109.99 CAD. Physical editions target a November 2026 release.
