Hot on the heels of CONTROL Resonant’s release date at the PlayStation State of Play, Remedy Entertainment made another appearance at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest with another trailer.
Check out the Paranatural Manhattan trailer for CONTROL Resonant below.
This latest trailer gives fans their best look at the twisted version of the city of New York that the game’s protagonist, Dylan Faden, will have to traverse and explore as he battles paranatural forces in search of his sister, Jesse. Ever-folding city streets bathed in the red light of the Hiss, seemingly infinite criss-crossing subway tunnels, and whole regions overgrown with the dangerously tantalising Mold are just some of the environments that await players in CONTROL Resonant.
Remedy Entertainment has designed Resonant as an “open-ended” game, with an accompanying press release saying how players will encounter “engaging story missions, exciting side quests, such as hunting down rogue Altered Items, dynamic boss fights, and head-scratching puzzles to solve.”
We also got to see back inside the Oldest House, the Federal Bureau of Control’s (FBC) headquarters, which the paranatural entities they had contained broke free from after an enigmatic force arrived in Manhattan. We heard the return of Emily Pope, now acting Director of the FBC; a thoughtful choice to tie Resonant to its prequel, 2019’s CONTROL.
“In this latest trailer we are excited to show the variety and world building we have injected into CONTROL Resonant. Our talented development team is bringing back some of the vibes from the original game, with the return of the Oldest House and Emily Pope narrating,” said Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant.

The trailer features an exclusive song, “Manalan Mailla” performed by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää. The track, which was composed specifically for CONTROL Resonant, was written by Teemu Brunila, Jurek, and Vilma Jää. Fans can look forward to listening to the track on Spotify, Apple Music, and other selected streaming platforms, and follow Vilma Jää on Instagram at @vilma.jaa.
“Manalan Mailla is inspired by the Ingrian ensemble runonlaulu tradition, with its heterophonic choral parts and lyrics based on alliteration and iteration,” said Vilma Jää. “I also included some herding calls in the song, as I just love to sing as high and as loud as possible whenever I get the chance.”
Finally, Remedy Entertainment has teamed up with iam8bit for a special collaboration, the CONTROL Resonant collection, featuring exclusive, limited merchandise, now open for pre-order until July 16th, with shipments planned for Q3 2026. Available for purchase at iam8bit.com, the range includes the FBC Coffee Mug, FBC Agent Hat, and even a FBC Mold Mints Collectible Tin, filled with edible mints and not Mold!
We only have a few months until release, and we imagine we’ll see CONTROL Resonant one last time at Gamescom in August. While some may not want to see any more before getting their hands on the game, we can’t help but get excited with each new trailer.
CONTROL Resonant releases on September 24th, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
