HYPNOS, the visually stunning and surreal first-person adventure game developed by Redlock Studio, is set to enter Early Access for PC on May 6th, with a future 1.0 launch including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S coming soon. Check out the Early Access announcement trailer below:
Originally revealed back in February, HYPNOS is a “surreal narrative exploration game”, set in Redlock Studio’s Maze Chronicles universe, following their previous title Blackshard.
“A mysterious boy haunting your dreams. An eerie Nameless City taking shape before your eyes. Each conversation bringing up answers and new questions in equal measures.”
HYPNOS Key Features include:
- Exploration: wander a unique semi-open world. Find your own way through the Nameless City.
- Branching Dialogue, Choices & Alternative Endings: Meet the strange inhabitants of the Far Reaches. Dreamers, spirits, creatures, and bizarre figures — they are all caught in the same web of causality. Your actions influence their destinies.
- Layered World: Interact with your environment. Transform the material of dreams and the City with it. Lift the veils that conceal reality.
With a demo available right now on PC via Steam, HYPNOS looks like an incredible blend of gorgeous hand-drawn character art, vast environments to explore that are equal parts breathtaking and unsettling, and a soundtrack composed by French multimedia artist and composer ALT236, which blends ambient, retro, and dreamlike electronic music.
