During the two-day Dragon Ball Battle Hour event this weekend, Bandai Namco officially announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will be launching in 2027. Revealed earlier this year as Project AGE 1000, the game was announced to be set in the far future from the standard Dragon Ball timeline, with more news coming later this year.
The game is set 200 years after the events of Dragon Ball Z. You play as a custom character who is part of the Time Patrollers, a group of people who go back to fix any changes in the timeline. Piccolo is shown off during the trailer, but it remains to be seen if any other returning characters will be around in this futuristic time. Two new characters have also been revealed, one named Brett, who is a time patroller, and Bulma, who remains to be seen if it’s the same Bulma everyone knows and loves, or if they are a descendant.

Final Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update
Bandai Namco has also revealed that the next wave of DLC for Xenoverse 2 will be the last piece of new content coming to the game. The Future Saga Chapter 4 content currently has no date, but will be released in Summer 2026. Dragon Ball Xenoverse is approaching it’s 10 year anniversary this October, so the fact that it’s gotten content this long is astounding.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, and is currently available to preorder at retail.
