Updated: After originally seeing listings for Mouse P.I. For Hire physical copies for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, we now have confirmation from PlaySide Games that they will also be releasing the games deluxe edition on Xbox Series X and PC (code in a box on PC).
Original Story: With just a few weeks to go until the release of much-anticipated, Mouse P.I. For Hire on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, the studio have confirmed that a physical release is on the way.
The noir shooter which features Troy Baker as mouse protagonist, Jack Pepper will receive a physical launch for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2. In the last 24 hours, social media posts had begun to share retailer listings of the game’s physical release. Quick to gain control of the narrative, the official X (Twitter) page of the game replied to confirm it is real, with a full official announcement coming soon:

Mouse P.I. For Hire Physical Editions
Best Buy listings are available for the following editions, with a release date of 10 July 2026, three months after the game’s digital release.
Standard Edition:

There is no listing yet available for the Xbox Series X version ($49.99) or PC ($49.99) but we will add them when they become available.
Mouse P.I. For Hire is an indie that seemingly has been around for a very long time, with appearances at big showcases including Xbox’s Partner Preview, October 2024 and Geoff Keighley’s, Summer Game Fest 2025. Originally revealed several years ago, the game has gone through extensive development and a handful of delays including recently from March 2026 to 16 April 2026. It’s now. finally not much longer to wait.
