In Yakuza Kiwami 3, Kiryu’s dreams of retiring from the yakuza and running the Morning Glory are pushed to the side while he’s pulled back into the fray. While none of this is required for completing the main story, if you’re looking to go for the 100%, you will need to complete the main story at Morning Glory, as well as a handful of other requirements. This guide will cover the main story, which sees Kiryu trying to help out Haruka around the orphanage, with Kiryu wanting to learn how to cook for the children.

This guide will be split into 3 parts, with each part having 2 dishes to make. Once you cook the 2nd dish of each part and watch the corresponding cutscene, that achievement will unlock. To be able to cook certain dishes, you will need to improve your daddy rank.
Your Daddy rank can be increased by a variety of activities, including fishing, bug catching, sewing, and completing requests on the board outside. While not strictly necessary, make sure you check the request board and fulfill any requests you may have, as you will need money for the orphanage to upgrade your garden, as well as invest in upgradable items and livestock. Start doing this as early as possible to reduce the amount of grinding you will need to do later.
Each dish will have associated techniques you will need to do, and a certain number of likes needed to pass. Each technique can get you 3 likes total, so you do have some wiggle room if you’re not perfect on it.
Part 1: A-OK Dad
For this part, nothing too bad. Just make sure you’re harvesting your garden when you get the notification and check on your animals as well. You will want to work on the request board with any extra vegetables you have, as you will need the money to upgrade your garden. For the fishing, if you want to make it easy on yourself, purchase one of the better harpoons at the request board store.

Part 2: Darn Good Dad
There is a lot bigger emphasis on fishing for this part. Fulfill some requests so that you have the money to buy the best harpoon, and then just complete each fishing difficulty about 3 times, and you should have enough of the required fish. Keep upgrading your garden as well, as you will need it for the next part.

Part 3: World’s Best Dad
Your biggest hurdle for this part is going to be the strawberries for the cake, and you will need to have 4 garden spots upgraded to level 5, and they need to all be in a row. If that takes too long, you can buy strawberries at the market in Okinawa, but you will be paying a hefty price.

Cooking Methods
There are 6 different cooking methods, with a different variety of activities being needed depending on what dish is being made. Here is the brief overview of each method.
- Cutting: You will need to do a variety of button inputs for each cut. These patterns start easy and get very difficult later on. Likely the hardest method to get the full 3 likes on.
- Egg Cracking: Will need to press an input on the face button as well as on the D-pad. The easiest method, in my opinion.
- Seasoning: You will have a gauge on the right side of the screen, where you will need to hold down the button and stay in that zone as long as possible. The zones will move as time goes on, so be prepared to stop holding down the button.
- Skimming: Will require you to get the scum out of the oil. Focus on getting them out grouped up as much as possible, as it will save you a bunch of time.
- Mixing: Another simple one, just spin the right analogue stick whichever direction it indicates. On the more difficult meals, you will also need to tilt the stick up or down continuously.
- Cooking: Also a difficult game. The pans will fill with meat, and you will need to flip them once they sparkle. This one can get very hectic quickly, try to memorize the order the meats come in, in order to make sure they don’t burn.
Finale
Once you have finished cooking the last dish with the correct amount of likes needed, the kids and Kiryu will surprise Haruka with the cake for all her hard work. Everyone will sit down to eat and talk, and once the cutscene is finished, this trophy will unlock, and you will have officially completed the Morning Glory storyline!
