After you reach certain milestones, you will receive an email to complete a promotion exam. You will need 20,000 training points for Master. |
| Dragon Finisher | Took out 10 enemies with a Dragon Finisher | Bronze/14 | Dragon Boost is a new meter Kiryu can build up. When used, Kiryu will receive a huge damage boost for a set amount of time. Once you get down to 25% left, you can use a dragon finisher. This should one-hit most enemies, for minibosses and regular bosses, make sure their health bar is down to about 20% left. Do this on any 10 enemies. |
| Okinawa’s Guardian Angels | Completed the Okinawa segment of Bad Boy Dragon | Bronze/14 | Introduced during chapter 2, Kiryu will join a biker gang to help deal with the Tokyo Night Terrors, who are trying to take over. You will need to recruit and level up your gang to take down other gangs in brawls. You will be required to finish this before heading back to Kamurocho in Chapter 4, so it’s best to start this as early as possible. |
| Take Over Japan! | Completed Bad Boy Dragon | Silver/30 | Once you’re back in Kamurocho, you will be reintroduced to this story. Same thing as before, level up and recruit new people to the gang to take down the leaders of the Tokyo Night Terrors. |
| Strongest Gang in Okinawa | Raised the Haisai Girls’ Infamy Rank to 4 | Bronze/14 | See Strongest Gang in the Universe for details. |
| Strongest Gang in Japan | Raised the Haisai Girls’ Infamy Rank to 8 | Bronze/14 | See Strongest Gang in the Universe for details. |
| Strongest Gang in the Universe | Raised the Haisai Girls’ Infamy Rank to the max Infamy Rank | Bronze/14 | Infamy level is the combined level of all of the characters in the Haisai Girls Gang. Recruiting new characters, completing missions, and unlocking baddie weapons all contribute towards this. If at the end of the storyline you are not rank 10 yet, you will be able to purchase rally tickets for Haisai points, which will drastically increase your rank. |
| Bad Boy Style | Enhanced your bike and Baddie Uniform to max level | Bronze/14 | Will need to upgrade both the bike and uniforms to their max level 3. You will need 6 upgrades total for this. The first upgrade costs 6,000, 30,000 for the second, and 90,000 for the third. |
| Lotta New Faces | Recruited over 50 people to your gang and held a rally | Bronze/14 | A rally is a giant level boost for every character in the game. Certain missions will have a bonus objective near the end of the storyline that will reward rally tickets; otherwise, after you finish the story, they can be purchased for 120 Haisai points. Make sure you have recruited 50 characters from substories and icons on the map. |
| Coliseum Regular | Conquered 5 Coliseum tournaments | Bronze/14 | At the end of Chapter 7, Majima will challenge you to a fight in the coliseum. Beat him, and at the start of chapter 8, you will be able to challenge 9 tournaments. All 9 need to be completed to fight Amon, but this will unlock after you beat your first 5. |
| Tojo Clan Revengers | Took down 20 Reapers | Bronze/14 | These will be introduced pretty shortly in chapter 1. These are mini-bosses on the map that will reward you with money, so they are a good source of income early in the game. There’s a total of 36 Reapers, with some introduced in chapters 1, 4, and 35, which are available after chapter 7. You only need 20 for the achievement, but you will need to beat all 36 to be able to fight Amon later. The final Reaper is on top of the Millennium tower once the other 35 are beaten. |
| Defying Fate | Defeated all Amons | Silver/30 | Guide Link |
| Dapper Dragon | Obtained 50 types of clothing items | Bronze/14 | Pretty simple, just unlock 50 clothing items. Can be bought from different shops in both cities, as well as won from minigames and substories. There are roughly 200 clothing items in the game, so you don’t need to collect everything. |
| A-OK Dad | Made Dragon Champloo | Bronze/14 | Story Quest for Morning Glory, you will need to first hit Daddy Rank 2 and then gather a list of ingredients. Everything can be obtained from the basic stuff to do around the Morning Glory; otherwise, if you have a lot of money, you can buy them from the Public Market in downtown Ryukyu. Once you have that, talk to Haruka to start cooking. |
| Darn Good Dad | Made Dragon Sushi | Bronze/14 | 2nd quest for the Morning Glory story, you will need to hit Daddy Rank 4, and get another list of ingredients, mainly fish this time. If you have the funds, you can buy a better harpoon at the bulletin board. Once you have everything, talk to Haruka again to cook. |
| World’s Best Dad | Completed the Morning Glory story | Silver/30 | The final quest will have you cooking for Haruka. You will need a bunch of high-end ingredients for this one, as well as a Daddy Rank of 6. If you’re struggling to upgrade your garden lots to level 5, you can buy strawberries in the public market in Ryuku. Once you have everything, head to the kitchen to finish this story. |
| Fatherly Advice | Completed four of the Morning Glory kid’s substories | Bronze/14 | See They Sure Grow Up Fast! for details. |
| They Sure Grow Up Fast! | Completed eight of the Morning Glory kid’s substories | Bronze/14 | Guide Link |
| Connected by Love | Experienced the LALALA Mobile commercial | Bronze/14 | LaLaLa mobile is the slightly revamped friend mechanic from Infinite Wealth. For this, you will need to have a decent amount of friends, as well as phone cosmetics, and then you will receive an email telling you about the commercial. After the email, just go to either location to check out the commercial. |
| Fate’s Fiery Filament | Made 30 LaLaLa Friends with Kiryu | Bronze/14 | Super simple and can be done in chapter 1. After you get the new phone, you will have a tutorial on adding friends. Just walk around Kamurocho scanning everyone you see with the phone icon, and this will unlock naturally. There’s a total of 100 friends you can make, so you shouldn’t have to hunt for this. |
| Spin for the Winnie-Win-Win! | Spun the prize wheel 100 times as Kiryu | Bronze/14 | Introduced during substory 10 in chapter 2, there will be a raffle you can spend tickets on. In order to obtain new tickets, you will need to spend money at the shops around town. For every 1,250 you spend, you will receive a ticket. Once you go back to Kamurocho, there will be a raffle set up near Theater Square. Spin the raffle a total of 100 times. |
| Substory Lover | Completed 10 substories as Kiryu | Bronze/14 | Guide Link |
| Substory Dragon | Completed 20 substories as Kiryu | Bronze/14 | Guide Link |
| Minigame Dragon | Played 10 different minigames as Kiryu | Bronze/14 | You can check your status on the entertainment section of the training list. There is enough that you don’t need to worry about learning the harder ones this go around, such as mahjong. Just pick 10 and complete the activity once to have it count. |
| Print Club Dragon | Took 10 Print Club photos as Kiryu | Bronze/14 | Can be done once you arrive in Okinawa. There is a print booth in front of the ice cream shop, as well as on the upper floor of the market. You take photos in groups of 3, so you will need to take 30 total photos to get this. Later on in the game, you have more people you can invite to take photos with if you don’t want to take solo photos. |
| Leave It All to Akko-san! | Recruited Akko-san to the Haisai Girls | Bronze/14 | Will need to complete 2 substories to complete this. The first is substory 17 in Okinawa. Once that is done, and you are back in Kamurocho, you will have substory 18 to do. Complete both of these, and Akko-san will join your gang. |
Step 2: Dark Ties
Again, if you’re looking to complete this as quickly as possible, play on the beginner difficulty. Thankfully, there are only 3 chapters here; the game is about the same length as the Majima Saga was in Yakuza Kiwami 2.
| Name | Description | Trophy/Achievement Score | Solution |
| Hunger | Completed Dark Ties: Chapter 1 | Bronze/14 | Story Related. |
| Complicity | Completed Dark Ties: Chapter 2 | Bronze/14 | Story Related. |
| The Kirin’s Ambition | Completed the final chapter of Dark Ties | Silver/30 | Story Related. |
| I’m Stronger Than I Look | Obtained 20 abilities for Mine | Bronze/14 | See, I’m Much Stronger Than I Look for details. |
| I’m Much Stronger Than I Look | Obtained 40 abilities for Mine | Bronze/14 | Like Kiryu, Mine has either special abilities or stat upgrades you can get. Unlike Kiryu, all of Mine’s abilities are purchased with cash. The best way to get cash is by doing the missions for Kanda Damage Control. The damage upgrades are absolutely worth getting early, as they will help with all the brawls Mine will run into, as well as helping in the survival hell minigame. |
| Chairman of the Dark Side | Took out 50 enemies with Dark Awakening | Bronze/14 | Dark Awakening functions mostly similarly to the Dragon Boost that Kiryu has, but for this, you have the hearts underneath the health bar that you use and have to slowly fill back up by fighting. Use this in a group of enemies to try to get around 3 or 4 knocked off each time you use it. The survival hell matches are a great place to farm this, as you will run into groups of 6 or 7 enemies pretty frequently. |
| Waste of Mine’s Time | Used Mine’s special abilities 50 times | Bronze/14 | Mine has a unique ability where you can hold down the B/circle button to jump at an enemy and then can do a follow-up attack at another enemy. Find a group, hold down the special attack button, and then follow up with another attack. He has a kick he can do with the Y/Triangle button, or a good throw if you follow up with the B/circle button. Survival Hell is a great place to work on this. |
| Kanda Kinda Trashy | Increased Karma to “Kinda Trashy” in Kanda Damage Control | Bronze/14 | See Kanda Kinda Godlike for details. Must hit Rank 3. |
| Kanda Kinda Godlike | Increased Karma to “Kinda Godlike” in Kanda Damage Control | Bronze/14 | In Chapter 2, Kanda will task you with improving his image. You will have a bunch of tasks around the city now to work on, from brawls to fetch quests, to hitting certain objectives in minigames. Try to knock as many of these out in the beginning, since they’re a great source of money early on and can help contribute towards the minigame achievement. Must hit Rank 8. |
| Actually God | Viewed all Bro Time moments with Kanda | Silver/30 | You get bro time moments with Kanda every few level-ups of Kanda Damage Control. You’ll unlock the final bro time moments once you hit Rank 10. Once you have the good deeds missions unlocked, focus on those. They’re basically substories for Mine and give you a substantial amount of money and karma points. |
| Dark Hero | Did 7 Good Deeds | Bronze/14 | Good deeds are basically the substories for Mine. The first one has you investigating the underground colosseum as part of the story, so just choose 6 others to work on. As you level up Kanda Damage Control, you will have more good deeds available to you to work on. If you have run out of icons on the map, wait until night, as some are time-specific. |
| A Taste of Hell | Cleared 3 stages of Survival Hell | Bronze/14 | See To Hell and Back for details. |
| To Hell and Back | Cleared all stages of Survival Hell | Silver/30 | Guide Link |
| To Brawl is the Glory of Man | Conquered 5 types of Brawler Hell tournaments | Bronze/14 | Like the colosseum fights for Kiryu, there is also an arena for Mine to fight in. Just clear the first 5 to unlock this. You can do the rest to increase your Kanda Damage Control Rank, but they are not needed for any other achievements. |
| I’m Much More Fun than I Look | Played 5 different minigames as Mine | Bronze/14 | Once Mine has free roam of the city, you can play various minigames around the city. You only need 5 for this one, and it can be done in chapter 1. I suggest waiting until chapter 2, when you have Kanda Damage Control missions to do, as some of those require you to do various things in some minigames as well. If you don’t want to wait, you can knock out 3 right away at the SEGA arcade over in Theater Square by doing the photo booth, UFO catcher, and a game of your choice. After that, you can do karaoke, which will earn you the Mine Da Ne! achievement as well. After that, just play a Game Gear game back at headquarters, and this will be yours. |
| Mine Da Ne! | Sang “Baka Mitai” as Mine | Bronze/14 | Once you have free roam of the city, you can get this done in Chapter 1. Baka Mitai will be the only karaoke song available to Mine. Just finish the song, and this will unlock. |
