New First Person Soulslike ‘Decrepit’ Announced at The Game Awards

Presenting itself like some twisted first person version of Dark Souls mixed with the Dark Messiah Might and Magic series, the game awards has given us a first glance into a new game called Decrepit. Decrepit is a first-person action game with souls-like combat where every death drags you back into the depths. Learn the dungeon, master the combat, and find your way out of the forsaken castle.

Decrepit looks to build off the hectic nature of the souls like genre with the added twist of being in first person. Much like the game Valor Mortis releasing sometime in 2026, this games trailer gives us a glance into what kind of setting we can expect from the game when it eventually releasing. With the idea of escaping being your only reason to move forward, the game seems to prioritize mastering the layout of the castle and fighting your way through the undead denizens that call it home. Your only advantages are the knowledge you gain from each attempt and whatever gear you can loot from the undead. Learn the castle and its inhabitants well enough, and what once felt impossible becomes manageable.

From suffocating dungeons to rain-soaked courtyards, fight your way up through interconnected areas. Prisoners still wear their chains. Guards still patrol their posts. The world is oppressive and unforgiving, but it follows rules. No maps. No quest markers. Just you and a castle that waits to be understood.

Decrepit is slated to release sometime in 2026 and you can Wishlist it on Steam now.
