Ball x Pit Reaches 1 Million Sales, Celebrates with Three New Expansions in 2026

One of 2025’s Indie standouts, Ball X Pit, has just announced they have sold over 1 million copies. Since it’s launch in October, Ball X Pit has been captivating players with it’s bullet heaven meets breakout gameplay. Due to the games strong reception at launch and growing success thanks to Gamepass, the developers have announced they will be releasing three updates going in to 2026.

The best part? They will all be completely free.

There hasn’t been much revealed as of time of writing, however the updates going forward promise to include new characters, evolutions, enemies, buildings, and most importantly. Balls. The three new updates will be aimed to be launch as follows:

  • Regal Update – January 2026
  • Shadow Update – April 2026
  • Naturalist Update – July 2026

Ball X Pit is currently available on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, macOS and Xbox Series X and Series S. It is also accessible to people with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC tiers.

With all these new updates, Ball X Pit looks to be growing in to a huge standalone hit, and it is very exciting to see a new Indie darling flourish in to something bigger, but what do you think?
