Long Awaited Remake of TimeSplitters Franchise Releases in Early Access

After thirteen long years of waiting, fans of the Timesplitters franchise need wait no more. The team that has been slowly developing a fan recreation of the original Timesplitters Trilogy, has released Timesplitters Rewind in early access on November 23rd. Best of all? It’s entirely free to play and download from their website. The game promises zero microtransactions and a consistent stream of updates.

Boasting a large roster of playable characters, a full online and offline story mode, and a vast variety of weapons and maps. TimeSplitters Rewind promises to be a faithful recreation of a well loved franchise that has laid dormant since 2005. Ever since fans have been hoping for a fourth instalment or even a HD remaster of the original trilogy. With TimeSplitters Rewinds release, it shall hopefully fill the void.

TimeSplitters Rewind Early Access Features

That’s not all, they are looking to making a full map editor available in the game, in line with the original. They also managed to recast Tom Clarke Hill, who reprises his role as the original voice actor for Cortez.

TimeSplitters Rewind is only available on PC, with rumblings of a console release seemingly dropped back in 2014.
