During today’s State of Play Japan we were treated to an array of announcements and updates for games coming from The Land of the Rising Sun which will come out within the months ahead.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls is one of the most exciting upcoming fighters and we now know when we can get hands on again following the first beta which we enjoyed as a 72 hour beta will take place from December 5 – 7 2025.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls – Closed Beta Trailer

During the beta, 8 playable characters will be included including Spider-Man, Ghost Rider and more. There will be 3 iconic arenas included in the beta including 2 new stages that we will get to duke it out on publicly for the very first time including The Savage Land and X – Mansion.

Players will be able to play in online lobby matches and optional offline CPU battles. And if you want to watch friends or foes, a spectator mode will be included. Players can register for the beta at: www.playstation.com/marveltokonbeta.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will release in 2026. A full release date is yet to be announced.
