Good news Wolverine fans! We’ve finally got a gameplay look at Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. And boy, is it looking good and gory! The reveal came from the latest State of Play that just wrapped.

Changing the pace and tone from Spider-Man, Wolverine looks to be a more grounded and brutal affair than our favourite web-slinger. Going into more detail on the PlayStation Blog, we’re yet to learn about specific plot of the game. The blog does go into detail about the core concepts of the game, however.

It was revealed that the voice actor for Logan will be Liam McIntyre (Spartacus). The story will revolve around Wolverine seeking to uncover the secrets of his past. This will take him across the world from Madripoor, Canada, and to Tokyo. We’ll also come face to face with other well known characters too, including Mystique and Omega Red.

It sounds like Insomniac is going to be staying true to the character of Logan and describe him as the “quintessential reluctant hero”; he is haunted by his actions and what he is.

We’ll have to wait for more concrete details about the plot and if we’ll be seeing other familiar faces from the X-Men world. Not only that, but we’ll have to wait a while longer for the game too, as it was announced that it will be releasing in Fall 2026 when it releases on PS5.
