Lies of P: Overture Released Today

As if the summer of 2025 couldn’t get any better with amazing releases, Neowiz decided to shadow drop the Lies of P: Overture DLC today at Summer Game Fest. Lies of P (released 2023) is widely considered to be one of the best Soulslikes out there, with it’s fantastic lore, combat and worldbuilding up there with any of Fromsoft’s own titles; and fans were massively looking forward to the Overture DLC.

And luckily they didn’t have long to wait – especially with a launch trailer as good as this.

The trailer for Lies of P: Overture showcases Pinocchio facing off against some huge bosses, with a wide variety of new movesets. He’ll be wielding a mix of familiar weapons from the base game, but there’s also some footage of some fresh additions, including a bow and a set of claws for the dex minded players amongst us. The bosses shown off look exactly like what any Soulslike fan would want from a DLC, and the previously confirmed new difficulty options mean it’s never been a better time to jump in and give the game a shot. It also comes with a boss rush mode, so you can presumably smash your head against the Mad Clown Puppet as much as you need to get those perfect parries down.

Lies of P: Overture releases today (6th of June 2025), across all platforms the base game is available for (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One PS5/PS4 and PC) and is $29.99/£24.99.
