Kill the Brickman is a brick breaking, turn-based rogue-like bullet-builder where you must destroy bricks with faces to ‘break the bank’. It is published by poncle, devs and publisher of Vampire Survivors, and surprise launched during Gamescom 2025.
It’s delightfully bonkers, and a good deal of fun to play. It launched on 21 August 2025 for PC and Xbox Series.
Kill the Brickman: Unlock the “Capitalist” achievement guide
You’ll unlock the “Capitalist” achievement for earning over “50 money in a single instance”. This is pretty easy to unlock if you have a certain relic and a bit of patience.
Kill the Brickman presents itself in levels across a series of 10. In between each level you will be rewarded money for completing the level, as well as additional tasks you can select before each level. These are random and vary between different abilities, locations, things to buy in the shop, as well as earning money or recovering HP.
When you reach the shop you can buy either clips, which let you fire bullets with different abilities, relics, which give you different abilities as you play, as well as different bullets. For the “Capitalist” achievement, you’re looking for a specific relic, the “Wealth Hoarder”.
The Wealth Hoarder relic gives you gold when you sell the item. If you’re holding more than 20 bullets in your inventory, you can sell Wealth Hoarder relic to earn 10 times the gold of the current level number. This means you could potentially earn 90 gold before reaching the boss. There is an endless mode, that keeps on going after you’ve defeated the boss at Level 10.
Essentially, to get this, there’s a bit of luck involved, as you need to have the Wealth Hoarder relic appear in the shop. You can re-roll the shop items but this costs you gold, and the cost increases every time you re-roll in that shop.
Once you see it, get it bought, it costs $5. Keep alive, and purchase the occasional bullet to make sure you get over 20 bullets (you can see how many bullets you have in the shop). It’s the total number of red, blue, and green bullets.
Two in one?
From level 5, you can sell the Wealth Hoarder relic and nab yourself the 50 gold. To sell, when you enter the shop, toggle over to the right side of the screen with the d-pad (on Xbox), and select the relic (it’s the one that looks like a pig). Press ‘A’ to sell, and ta-da! Money in the bank.
What I would recommend, hold on to the relic until Level 8 or 9 (you can check what level you’re on in the top left of the screen when you’re in the shop). Make sure you’ve got some money in the bank before you sell it. If you get to over 100 gold you’ll also unlock the “Cheapskate” achievement.
