Surprise! Another movie horror tie-in and you guessed it, an asymmetrical multiplayer! Halloween: The Game, a stealth horror experience based on the iconic 1978 horror masterclass, Halloween was revealed today during the Future Games Show, gamescom 2025.
Halloween: The Game reveal trailer
The non-gameplay trailer sees players running away from Michael Myers as he leaves a neighbourhood house after seemingly carrying out something horrific. Before cutting away and playing the ever-chilling Halloween theme tune.
Gamers can club together to take on Michael Myers in online multiplayer play, or the game can be played solo - yet, solo play seems to just be one player plus bots playing the core multiplayer experience.
Developer, Gun Interactive will be co-publishing Halloween. Gun Interactive have pedigree in this field of games as they published The Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is getting no further updates, and the already delisted and server closed, Friday the 13th.
The game is being developed by IllFonic, who are also well known for asymmetric multiplayer games including the popular, Predator: Hunting Grounds and last years Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game.
Halloween: The Game is targeting a 2026 release on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
