Moonlighter 2 Early Access Launches in October

Digital Sun and 11 bit studios have officially announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will launch into early access on 23rd October 2025 via Steam and PC Game Pass. The sequel to the beloved 2018 indie hit returns players to the dual life of Will, the dungeon-delving shopkeeper, now stranded in the mysterious village of Tresna and caught in an interdimensional mess.

The early access version will feature three distinct biomes, each packed with unique enemies, loot, and environmental hazards. Players will be able to explore these dungeons, collect over 120 relics, and sell them in Will’s fully customisable shop. Pricing, layout, and customer service are all in your hands.

Combat has been overhauled with four core weapon types and nearly 100 perks to unlock, offering a smoother, more responsive feel than the original. Most of the story will be playable from day one, though the developers note that a few sections still need polishing before full release.

Moonlighter 2 promises to expand on the original’s roguelite-shopkeeping hybrid formula with richer mechanics, deeper lore, and a more dynamic world. Whether you’re here to master the market or conquer the Vault, there’s plenty to keep both sides of Will’s double life busy.
