Featured in our June 2025 demo disc issue, Demonschool is one of the games I’ve been looking forward to. This game has been in development for a bit but after getting some hands on time with it at Pax East the anticipation only grew. Check out the trailer below to see if you’re just as intrigued.
In Demonschool, play as Faye, a student trying to balance her university life while being the last demon hunter alive. In this game, you’ll bring your friends along for the ride as well and they all bring their own unique skill sets. There are up to 15 friends you can recruit in this tactical RPG and the steam page shares just a few to give you an idea of the diversity of the cast.

The tactical gameplay is accompanied by a slight horror story filled with ghouls, demons, and side quests of all varieties. Along with your side quests you’ll also be planning out your schedule to make sure there is enough time to achieve your goals and build your relationships with the cast of characters.
For those looking to be extremely tactical in their combat, the game is built for this. You can plan all of your moves before the actions take place. You also have the ability to rewind actions during the planning phase if something feels off. When you can, plan your best combos for maximum damage or maximum buffing. Will you be able to use this to your advantage or will you succumb to the demons?
Demonschool releases September 3, 2025 on PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, Epic Games, and Steam. The demo is playable on Steam if you want to get a small taste before it’s release.
