Square Enix Launches Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Lottery On E-Store

Square Enix isn’t finished celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX’s release, even if the official date of July 7th is a month behind us. While the cadence of announcements has slowed down, the Japanese game publisher has announced that a FFIX 25th anniversary lottery is now running through their e-store.

This lottery, which was first run on their social media accounts, gives fans of this beloved JRPG a chance to win a range of Final Fantasy IX 25th anniversary merchandise, all of which was revealed in the lead-up to last month.

The official website, launched solely for Final Fantasy IX’s 25th anniversary, highlights some of the prizes up for grabs:

“The gorgeous lineup includes a 50cm plush toy of “Vivi Ornitia”, one of the main characters of “FINAL FANTASY IX”, a CD with new arrangements of songs such as “Someday Home” and “Song of Memories”, and mini plates and postcards using newly drawn illustrations by Toshiyuki Itanata to commemorate the 25th anniversary.

In addition, the “25th Prize” that you can receive in the last one will be newly drawn by Toshiyuki Itana, and we have prepared canvas art using the 25th anniversary illustration of the main characters.”

To participate in the FFIX 25th anniversary lottery, there are a few things to know:

  • A shipping fee (nationwide flat, Â¥650 yen including tax) will be charged separately from the lottery amount.
  • 1 ticket costs Â¥770 yen.
  • You can purchase up to 30 tickets in one order.
  • It will end as soon as the product runs out.
  • They cannot accept cancellations, returns, or refunds of product prices due to customer convenience.

In other Final Fantasy IX news, Square Enix has officially announced the FINAL FANTASY IX PLAY ARTS Shin Zidane Tribal figurine. Originally revealed last week, we now know the figurine’s measurements of approximately W116mm×D 63mm×H 223mm, and that it is priced at Â¥26,400 yen (tax included). The FINAL FANTASY IX PLAY ARTS Shin Zidane Tribal figurine is available for pre-order on the Square Enix e-store, and is scheduled to be dispatched on February 28th, 2026.

While we are sure that fans will continue to enjoy the love and attention being given to Final Fantasy IX, with all sorts of merchandise and events announced and revealed throughout 2025, it likely doesn’t assuage those who were hoping to hear something of the long-rumored FFIX remake. The character redesigns created by character designer Toshiyuki Itahana for the 25th anniversary added some fuel to the fire, but nothing concrete has been released as of yet.

That is all the FFIX news we have for now, but you can be sure we will continue to stay on the lookout for more, so keep checking back!
