Nintendo Clears Confusion from Metroid Prime 4 London Underground Ad

Yesterday evening UK time, commuters on the way home from work in London were greeted with a lovely set of advertisements for Nintendo Switch 2 and it's big titles across the "˜tube'.

Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Party Jamboree and more featured across the colourful marketing campaign for the new Switch. However, gamers were quick to spot that the Metroid Prime 4: Beyond advertisement stated "˜out now' despite the game not due to launch until later this year - a TBC date on Switch and Switch 2.

Although assumed to be an error, Metroid fans were temporarily hopeful the much anticipated launch of Beyond was sooner rather than later.

Nintendo have been quick to issue a statement on the issue, clarifying that Metroid Prime 4 is in fact still scheduled for some time later this year:

"We can confirm that the "˜Out Now' message on this advert is incorrect. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are not yet available, and are scheduled for release in 2025." Credit: VGC.

Whilst it's not a surprise the advertisement is currently displaying an error, it's certainly a gorgeous piece of game key art decorating Oxford Circus for the days and weeks ahead. We've still a while to wait until we can visit Planet Viewros which we got to see during Metroid Prime 4: Beyond gameplay.

After all this time are you still excited for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond? What's your favourite in the original Prime trilogy? Let us know in the comments below and stick with GSC for all your Metroid and Nintendo news.
