The Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase 2025 has just wrapped, and boy oh boy, were there a lot of games. Over 100 titles on show, with 50 world premieres. It was packed to the rafters with gaming goodness, maybe too much???
Good news, though, as we’ve pulled all the reveals and available trailers into one handy place.
The Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase 2025
If you’re unfamiliar with the The Horror Game Awards, they started towards the end of 2022 as a Horror Game of the Year Award set up by two die hard horror game fans. Fourteen content creators made up that year's jury.
It was such a success that in 2023 the jury doubled in size and the awards expanded their scope. The aim of the awards is simple: to celebrate horror as one of the best genres in video games and to recognise the year's greatest horror games alongside the developers who make them.
They know host several showcases a year.
Inhuman Resources (Android, iOS, PC)
A literary machination about corporations, conspiracies, and the unspeakable horrors you'll commit for minimum wage. Quartermain and the Cult of Cthulu (PC)
Take up arms against Cultists, Nazis, Robots, and Lovecraftian monsters in this fast-paced action adventure. It's down to you, Aloysius Quartermain, to sneak a 12,000 year old Artefact out of Nazi Germany by emptying lead into anything that moves.
Deckline (PC)
Deckline is an atmospheric war-horror card game. Out of ammo and encircled, you play one last game of Durak to distract from the inevitable. Experience the grit and dread of modern combat through the lens of a board game.
Railgods of Hysteria (PC)
A Lovecraftian survival base-building action game developed by Troglobytes Games. Players will assume control of a living monstrous train to craft weapons, gain powers, and explore an ever-changing world.
The Alien Cube (PC)
Worlds collide as your cursed inheritance throws you into the middle of a series of mysterious events. Discover terrifying secrets as you follow your uncle's disappearance, and confront a terrible truth that will change your life forever in this cosmic horror first-person adventure.
The Land of Pain (PC)
The Land of Pain promises an engaging Lovecraftian horror experience, with players solving puzzles while fleeing from a mysterious and tireless dark force.
Ghost Frequency (PC, Switch)
An action-adventure horror first-person thriller game developed by PIT Games. Players will assume the role of a Ghost Hunter from the Paranormal Investigation Team to locate evil spirits with the help of a variety of tools. Make use of the EMF Ghost Detector to track paranormal activity, the IR Thermal Camera to reveal hidden entities, the EVP Digital Recorder to capture eerie voices, and more.
Backrooms Level X (PC, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series)
