Doom: The Dark Ages – All Chapter 15: City of Ry'uul Upgrades & Collectibles

Doom: The Dark Ages is here. The latest shooter in the Doom franchise from iD has a bit of a different feel with its more open world style of levels. Within each level is many different secrets on the form of collectibles, upgrades and other items. This guide will help you with finding all the upgrades and collectibles in Chapter 15: City of Ry'uul.

Ruby #1

At the start of the chapter head where the game leads you however instead of shield charging through the hoop, drop down. Look to your right to find an area you can smash through. Follow this path up to a mechanism that will activate a launcher across the other side of the area.

Now simply run across to that launcher, launch yourself up and grab the Ruby.

Codex – City Of Ry'uul

Progress until you get to a new section. Move forward jumping across the gap. Once on the other side turn around and head to the edge where a row of gold is, use your map to help guide you.

Once in the correct place drop down, follow the gold trail and grab the codex.

Ruby # 2

Progress further until after you've obtained your new melee weapon. You will get to a spot where you need to lift a platform with your shield mechanic and line up the eyes to open the path.

If you raise the platform while not on it you will see a water section to jump in beneath the platform. Go in the water and follow the path to obtain the Ruby.

Demonic Essence – Health

Move on to the next major battle during which the final enemy will find you the health upgrade.

Demonic Essence – Armor

Progress through the chapter quite a bit further. You will get to an area where you shield charge through a green ring to an island area and have to climb up. You will activate a launcher with the shield saw to progress.

After defeating the enemies use the next ring to shoot across the map and take care of a few more enemies before reaching a wall to climb. After climbing it run directly straight and head of the edge of the map here slowly. You should fall onto a very well hidden platform beneath you. If you missed just adjust left a little.

From here follow the path and take yet another green portal across back to another floating platform. Here you can shield charge a nest which will trigger a big battle on the original island. Defeat the last enemy to grab the upgrade.

Collectible Toy – Agaddon Hunter

You will get back to the original area of the chapter. Don't drop down yet and instead look to your right to find a breakable area. Smash through it, drop down and grab the toy.
