PlayStation Plus May 2025 Games Announced

They say April showers bring May flowers. If you’re a Playstation Plus subscriber, May brings dinosaurs, decks of cards, and a bolt gun. The PlayStation Plus May 2025 line up is quite the variety. While two of these will be available for those on both PS4 and PS5, one offering will be for PS5 users only.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun | PS4, PS5

Beginning on May 6th, the above games will be available to subscribers. For those unfamiliar with these games, we’ll give you a brief introduction to each.

Ark: Survival Ascended

Get ready to tame and breed dinosaurs and other creatures in this prehistoric survival sim. Form a tribe, explore the world, craft, and build all while trying to ensure your own survival. While it is on PlayStation Plus, you’ll also have access to all of Ark’s worlds. PlayStation’s blog advertises the worlds of “Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Ark Genesis Part 1, Ark Genesis Part 2, and more.” Play with up to 70 players on the public online multiplayer or gather up to 8 players in a private-session multiplayer option. For something even more intimate, two players can opt for the local-split screen option.

Balatro

Balatro was the indie roguelike people could not stop talking about in 2024. While Balatro is based on the rules of poker, it quickly becomes so much more. Reshape your deck, toss in tarot cards to provide one time effects, or allow the joker cards to alter your scoring as you go. Balatro requires strategy when choosing Joker slots to increase your score and win the run. Reach the boss blind and beat the final ante to truly win this game if you can!

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun

Released in 2023, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is set within the 40k universe several year after the events of Space Marine. Play as Malum Caedo in this single player first person shooter battling against Chaos. Boltgun is heavily inspired by first person shooters from the 90s so if you’re looking for a bit of nostalgia and curious about the 40k universe, this could be a perfect entry point for you.

Each of these games will be available beginning May 6 until June 2nd to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Until then, PlayStation Plus members can check out RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory.
