What a week its been for Elder Scrolls fans. After months of leaks, Bethesda finally shadow dropped The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Tuesday and the title quickly shot to 150k concurrents on Steam. Since then four million players have already embarked on their adventures in to the glorious lands of Cyrodil.
Taking to social media, Bethesda thanked players and made use of the game's roman numeral title to announce the impressive accolade.

The Elder Scrolls is one of the biggest IPs in the video games industry and we have had no major single player entry since Skyrim's famous 11.11.11 launch date. So It's no surprise that the almost fourteen year dry spell (that's making me feel an Elder myself!) has made Oblivion Remastered's launch such a success.
Oblivion Remastered is more than the industry's standard 4k up-res and higher frame rate "˜remastering'. Oblivion Remastered looks like a new game with the visual overhaul it received, alongside many quality of life changes, new character models, combat and much more. For returning veterans, or first time Elder Scrolls players there is a whole modernised exciting open-world waiting for you to explore. It’s only the start for the Oblivion Remaster and I'm sure we'll be seeing bug fix patches and more updates in the weeks and months ahead. Bethesda games are known for technical issues (or as their fans love to call it, jank) and there's been numerous reports online of bugs in the Gamer Social Club Discord. Hopefully we won't have long to wait until they're quickly sorted out.
