It's no secret that Atlus has been doing well with their remasters/re-releases of their titles. In previous years we've seen Etrian Odyssey, Persona 3, and Shin Megami Tensei III get a face lift and more. This year, Atlus is releasing Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army for modern consoles. Depending on the game play performance you're looking for, consider your options carefully. You may want to make sure you grab Raidou on the best console option for you.Â
Atlus released a Q&A today answering questions regarding how it will run on consoles as well as functionality between Switch and Switch 2. As this was on their Japanese language site, there is a chance this will only apply to specific region releases, but it’s worth knowing as you make your decisions moving forward.
For those looking to purchase on Switch and upgrade to Switch 2, the answer is, don't do it. The post, when translated, explains there will not be a way to upgrade to the newer console. However, this will be a free option for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Save data will also carry over from PS4 to PS5 should you go this route.
For the best frame rates, you'll also want to use Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, or an Xbox series console. If you are looking for resolutions, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X will get you that sweet 4k resolution. Nintendo Switch 2 will get you 1920 x 1080 but will also get you the game a few days early if you can get your hand on a Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be released on the same day as the console. It's worth noting though that Raidou Remastered will be a game key card and not the full software if you opt for a "physical" edition for Switch 2.Â
With all of this information, it's a lot to decide for fans of the Raidou games and the Devil Summoner series as a whole. Raidou Remastered will be available June 19th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Steam. Nintendo Switch 2 version will see the game released alongside the console. When you purchase Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army what is your console of choice? Sound off below!
